December Annual Events

Downtown Open House and Parade of Lights	Kick off your Christams shopping at the Downtown Open House. Your favorite downtown stores stay open late so you can take advantage of the great deals the merchants have to offer during the holiday season. The annual Parade of Lights has become an important event in Evanston's Holiday calendar. The parade will passes through the downtown area in the evening greeting eager bystanders with lots and lots of candy given by participants and Santa Clause, who graciously appears a few days sooner than his scheduled arrival!
Teddy Bear Parade	With Santa as Grand Marshal, kids young and old march through the streets of downtown with a menagerie of stuffed pals. You won't be able to "bear" the excitement as the parade is followed with a drawing for teddy bears donated by merchants and citizens!
