Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Evanston Blue Logo

The City of Evanston is following the recommendations of the Wyoming Department of Health and Uinta County Public Health in the monitoring of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.  At this time, the risk to Evanston residents remains low, but common-sense precautions should be exercised by all citizens.  These steps include:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • If soap and water is not available- use hand sanitizer of at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid close contact with sick people
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
  • Stay home if you feel sick or fevered
  • Contact your health care provider, urgent care or the local emergency room if you have been exposed, they can provide information and testing if they feel it is necessary

Uinta County Public Health recommends signing up for the Code Red System which would allow you to get local emergency information if, and when it is sent out. Sign up at near bottom of the page.
